JPOF 2026 – Safety Instructions
Welcome to JPOF 2026 at Jämi Airfield. Safety is our highest priority. All pilots, participants, and visitors are expected to follow these instructions throughout the event.
General Safety
- Follow all instructions given by the event organizers.
- Pilot briefing is held daily at 09:00 in Jämi Areena.
- Flying activities begin only after the daily briefing.
- Always maintain awareness of other pilots, aircraft, and spectators.
- Report any safety concerns or incidents immediately to the organizers.
Flight Operations
- Fly only within the designated flight area and flight box.
- Never fly over spectators, pit areas, parking areas, buildings, or the Jämi Areena.
- Maintain safe separation from other aircraft at all times.
- Announce takeoffs, landings, low passes, and emergencies clearly.
- Use spotters when required or recommended.
- FPV flying is only permitted according to event rules and safety requirements.
Emergency Situations
- In the event of a malfunction or loss of control, steer the aircraft away from spectators, buildings, and active runway areas whenever possible.
- If an emergency landing is required, clearly announce it to other pilots.
- Immediately notify event staff of any incident involving damage, injury, or safety risk.
Radio Communication
- Monitor event communications and follow organizer instructions.
- Jämi Airfield frequency: 123.650 MHz
- Event callsign: “Lennokkimaa”
- Maintain clear communication during all flying operations.
Pit Area Safety
- Keep the pit area clean and organized.
- Secure all aircraft when not flying.
- Perform range checks and pre-flight inspections before every flight.
- Use proper safety procedures when handling batteries, fuel, and turbines.
- Fuel containers must remain closed when not in use.
Turbine and Jet Operations
- Turbine aircraft must be started only in designated areas.
- Ensure adequate safety distance during startup and shutdown.
- Have appropriate fire extinguishing equipment available.
- Follow all turbine manufacturer safety recommendations.
Spectators
- Spectators must remain within designated viewing areas.
- Do not enter pilot, runway, or pit areas without permission.
- Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
- Please follow all event signage and safety barriers.
Jämi Areena Rules
- Fuel tanks must be empty before bringing aircraft inside the Areena.
- Use protective cloths or absorbent material under fuel vents.
- Keep display areas clean and safe for all visitors.
- Respect exhibitors, equipment, and display aircraft.
Weather and Event Changes
- Flying operations may be suspended due to weather or safety reasons.
- Organizers reserve the right to modify schedules and flight operations at any time to maintain safety.
